All The Colours of Three Mile Beach, Hayle
Some places grab your attention for all the right reasons and Three Mile Beach complex in Hayle is certainly one of those places. Adorned in bright, joyful colours and with quirky touches throughout, you can’t help but be intrigued. The complex is made up of spacious beach houses only moments from one of the longest and most beautiful beaches in Cornwall. Tucked inside you’ll also find their outdoor gastro dining space, Chomp.
Chomp is open to staying guests and members of the public, from 5pm every day. Head to Gwithian beach and follow all the signs to Chomp and you can’t go wrong. The space is as quirky as you’d expect from these guys; served out of a brightly painted old truck and eaten in beautiful beach huts or out on the benches to enjoy the sunshine.
The menu here is much more than you’d expect when served from a converted truck. There’s hot and cold meals available including fish and chips, hot sandwiches and an array of sharing small plates.
On this occasion, we opted for one fish and chips and one mackerel bun which had rhubarb compote – yum! A cool and playful way to enjoy an evening meal, and perfectly timed to head down to the beach afterwards to enjoy the sunset at one of Cornwalls finest sunset spots.
