Brunch, Blankets and Bunting; Bread & Butter in Truro
Truro isn’t exactly a bustling hectic city, but it’s still lovely to find a tranquil corner. Bread & Butter is just that; peace, calmness and utterly adorable. This cute cafe is based on River Street and although small and dainty, it packs a punch! Utilising every inch of space, there’s a perfectly formed court yard which offers sheltered and heated seating as well as floors of cosy corners.
Bread & Butter is quaint and cosy throughout, with blankets, cushions, bunting and fairy lights to create the perfect setting. With a varied and well thought out menu, there’s an array of homemade delights to choose from but their pancakes are famous around these parts. We popped in one afternoon and spared no time ordering ourselves some stacks.
Their pancakes are the talking point of the cafe. With several toppings to choose from, we opted for the banana and chocolate and the seasonal apple compote, both which come with incredibly moorish caramel sauce.
I love this spot in the city and highly, highly recommend a stop off. With their size being petite, it is recommended to book a table or be prepared for a wait. Also, don’t miss their deli across the road!
