Diaries; Sunset Gig at The Wateringhole, Perranporth
I’m a big fan of Australian folk singer, Jack Botts, and when it was announced that he would be playing a charity gig at The Wateringhole in Perranporth, I had to go! Jack was there with three other acts, raising money for Surfers Against Sewage and the RNLI – two very worthy causes.
We headed down to Perranporth during early evening, ready for the show. The Wateringhole is an incredible place to meet friends, it’s the only bar on the beach in the UK and it is the best vibe. Perranporth boasts one of the finest spots to watch the sunset in Cornwall and with great surf, a huge beach to enjoy and even a brilliant tidal pool, what’s not to love!
There were a few bands playing before Jack took headline and we watched Swedish singer Oscar Stembridge perform who was great – so talented and brave for his age too!
Between sets we popped outside for some fresh air and enjoyed the most beautiful sunset before taking a front row spot for the main man.
Such a brilliant evening and one I’ll remember for a long time. Keep up to date with any more events at The Wateringhole on their socials as it really is the most amazing venue.
