Laidback Bohemian Glamping at Halgarrack Farm
It’s always so exciting to visit a glamping site and see what the owner has done with the place. You’d assume that a tent is a tent, what personality can you really put into it? Well, these Cornish sites will surprise you in the absolute best way with how creative they get and how beautiful a simple tent quickly becomes. Halgarrack has a gorgeous bohemian theme throughout; think festoon lights, sheep skin rugs, worn leather and vintage treasures. Here’s my experience when visiting for the night!
Halgarrack Farm is based near Camborne, outside of the town in the rural countryside. It’s absolutely beautiful around here, rolling fields to every angle and true tranquility. Despite the peace and quiet, you’re exceptionally close to so many popular spots to visit, and moments from the A30, which makes this site the perfect base for lots of exploring.
There’s five tents on site, which is the farm of the owner Kate. All facing forward and perfectly lining up with the sunset. The tents are all unique inside but all feature comfy chairs to lay back and relax, throws and blankets, a double mattress and a camp fire which you can use as a grill or just to cosy up around.
As you pull up, you’ll spot this adorable stone building which houses the communal area. You’ll find a sink with general bits and bobs you could need, a fridge, coffee and tea facilities and some comfy seats to lay back and chill out. Just around the corner, there’s a very funky pink horse box housing your compost toilet and hot shower.
As I said earlier, the pitches all face the sunset and you do get a beautiful view here. As the golden rays beam through the dancing wildflowers in the field, you can hear the birds in the trees and there’s a few more pals who may come and say hello..
Clemmie is Kate’s dog and she is an absolute sweetheart. Within minutes we fell desperately in love with her and were more than happy to make her our third member of the team for the evening. She’s fantastic, after some initial excitement, she settled down and just sat around the fire with us. We may or may not have had a little cuddle in bed before we left as well, I couldn’t resist her smile!
Overall we loved our little stay at Halgarrack. The site has everything you could need and feels instantly like home. If you’re keen for some exploring then you have a lot on your doorstep as this area is so centrally located. Beaches, landmarks, countryside walks, whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.
Book a stay at Halgarrack here and if you do stay, say hello to Clemmie from me!
