Soul Food On The South Coast; Ellies Soul Kitchen, The Lizard
If I invite you to a pink caravan, steps away from Kynance Cove, serving delicious street food; you’re coming right? One of my favourite places I’ve visited lately, Ellies Soul Kitchen on The Lizard. Parked up in a field, on the road towards Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula, this caravan is a must visit.
To reach Ellies Soul Kitchen, you can park on site, park up in the National Trust car park at Kynance Cove and take a short wander up or, as we did, park up in Lizard village and follow the footpath towards Kynance Cove and you’ll soon find this joyful pink caravan parked up. The short stroll from the village takes you across the fields which just adds to the magic of visiting!
On site, there’s heaps of outside seating to find a spot and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. You can take away your feast or, in dry weather, grab a blanket and pitch up anywhere in the field.
This gorgeous spot serves up delicious and hearty cuisine, you won’t be able to believe it’s all been cooked up in a caravan! On our visit we had the jackfruit shawarma and the humus and shredded lamb – amazing! They also do lighter bites, baked goods or just grab a drink.
A brilliant spot, tie it in with a walk down to Kynance Cove and an explore around Lizard village. This is a seasonal pop up for obvious reasons so keep an eye on their socials throughout the year for opening times. If you’re staying close by, they also do themed nights with feasts on Fridays!
