Wish On A Wishbone; A Cosy Stay at Posh Cornish Cottages
Stepping into The Wishbone at Posh Cornish Cottages was like stepping into a warm hug. The level of comfort and feeling of warmth that has been created from a relatively small space is to be commended. Posh Cornish Cottages is based just inland from the coastline at Bude, tucked in a stunning private property near the small local village of Marhamchurch. They have a a range of holiday homes to chose from; from American style wood cabins to gypsy wagons and The Wishbone, this converted loft.
The Wishbone is a converted loft offering open plan living. The first thing you notice is the exposed wood and stunning beams lifting the ceiling. Every detail has been so thoughtfully planned out and considered; it’s always so obvious when true care and love has been put into a space. The loft offers a small yet perfectly formed kitchen, table for two, sofa and living space and a marshmallow cloud of a king bed. There’s a shower room and separate toilet and an outside space complete with sun loungers, a hot tub, bbq and outdoor dining space.
In the beautiful mid-year sunshine, there’s a sun trap of an outside space and a mass of countryside walks nearby. In the chillier days, you have this gorgeous wood burner ready to create the perfect cosy evening.
I challenge you to find something missing in this kitchen – it has everything. Full oven, fridge, ample crockery and cooking equipment. Perfectly position for serving, right behind you is a comfortable two seater table perching you right in front of the TV ready for that movie night.
Our stay at Posh Cornish Cottages was absolutely wonderful; and all that knowing the weekend we had was a drizzly and grey one in Cornish spring. No matter what the weather, it doesn’t matter here as staying in is as good as going out. The property offers ample parking, a beautiful duck pond and the best of Cornish countryside whilst being moments from the coastline.
